Qualifications for the Hall of Fame

 10 master passes or

 6 master passes and a master national pass or

 6 master passes and a master amateur pass or

 10 finished passes and a grand pass or 

 15 finished passes and 

 The dog must be owned and handled by the owner to qualify

Shadow's Aurburn Annie Oakley "Oakley"

Owner/Handler - Roger Quas

  • Hunting Titles:

    • Earned Junior Hunter (JH) title at just 9 months old in 2002.

    • Achieved Senior Hunter (SH) title at 18 months old in 2003.

    • Completed Master Hunter (MH) title at 28 months old in 2004 and qualified for the Master Nationals that same year.

  • Master National Hall of Fame:

    • Passed her first Master National (MN) at 2 years and 7 months old in 2004.

    • Qualified for and passed the Master Nationals consecutively in 2005 and 2006.

    • Entered the Master National Hall of Fame in 2006 as the 103rd dog and the youngest amateur-trained dog to pass that year.

  • Additional Qualifications:

    • Qualified for and ran the Master Nationals in 2007 and 2008.

Inducted in 2024

Kawohni Moon's Will-o'-the-Wisp MH "Willow"

Owner/Handler - Paul Smith

  • Hunting Titles:

    • Earned Master Hunter (MH) title.

    • Accumulated 32 Master Passes over her career.

  • Master National Participation:

    • 2019: Ran in South Carolina, failed in the 3rd series.

    • 2020: Qualified but event was canceled.

    • 2021: Passed the Master National in Idaho.

    • 2022: Ran in Oregon, failed in the 4th series.

    • 2023: Qualified but did not run.

  • Master Amateur Participation:

    • 2021: Passed in Virginia.

    • 2022: Passed in Missouri.

    • 2023: Ran in Texas, failed in the 1st series.

Bear Kreek Grand Oaks 12 Guage "Guage"

Owner/Handler - Brian Schlomann

  • Hunting Titles:

    • Earned Junior Hunter (JH) title on May 29, 2010.

    • Achieved Senior Hunter (SH) title on July 30, 2011.

    • Completed Master Hunter (MH) title on August 8, 2012, at just over 3 years old.

    • Accumulated 12 Master Passes between 2012 and 2015.

    • Qualified for the 2015 Master National but was unable to participate due to a temporary hearing loss caused by an ear infection.

  • Shed Hunting:

    • First Chesapeake Bay Retriever to become a NASHDA Master Hunter.

    • First Chesapeake Bay Retriever to achieve the UKC Grand Champion Shed Dog title.

  • Big Game Tracking:

    • A skilled tracker who assisted many hunters in recovering their trophy animals over the years.

DJK’s Wildcard "Joker"

Owner/Handler - Donald Schlomann

  • Hunting Titles:

    • Earned Upland Hunter (UH) title on February 8, 2020.

    • Achieved Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title on September 12, 2021.

    • Completed Master Hunter (MH) title on September 17, 2022.

  • Performance Highlights:

    • Accumulated 20 Master Passes in his career.

  • Master National Participation:

    • 2023: Qualified and passed the Master National.

    • 2024: Qualified for the Master National.

Nothin Runs Like A Diesel "Diesel"

Owner/Handler - Jimmy Olszewski

  • Hunting Titles:

    • Earned Senior Hunter (SH) title on July 16, 2011, at 2 years old.

    • Achieved Master Hunter (MH) title on July 13, 2013, at 4 years old.

    • Awarded UKC Hunting Retriever (HR) Master Degree on August 25, 2013.

  • Master National Hall of Fame:

    • Qualified for the 2015 Master National Retriever Club event, held October 15-25 at H. Cooper Black Field Trial and Recreational Area, Cheraw, South Carolina.

    • Achieved an impressive 30 Master Hunter passes and 29 Master Amateur passes throughout his career.
